Have you ever tried hummus? If you haven’t, it’s a dip made from garbanzo beans or chick peas (same thing). One dips either tortila chips, tortilas or pita bread. It’s pretty salty/sour. I made hummus for my very first time yesterday. here’s my recipe:


15 oz can chick peas( garbanzo beans), drained

¾ t. garlic, minced

1 ½ – 2 T. lemon juice

1 T. peanut butter

paprika to taste

soy sauce to taste

salt to taste


1 T. olive oil or vegetable

Blend in food processor until creamy (will be grainy), thinning with water as necessary.
